arXiv.org e-Print archive: Repository of electronic preprints, known as e-prints, of scientific papers in the fields of mathematicsphysicsastronomycomputer science, quantitative biologystatistics, and quantitative finance, which can be accessed online. In many fields of mathematics and physics, almost all scientific papers are self-archived on the arXiv. More than One milion papers are openly accessible in this arcive.

Bangladesh Journals Online: BanglaJOL is a database of journals published in Bangladesh, covering the full range of academic disciplines. The objective of BanglaJOL is to give greater visibility to the participating journals, and to the research they convey. There are now 136 journals on BanglaJOL with 1271 Tables of Contents listing 16,606 articles. 15,672 of the articles are available in full text (PDF).

BioMed Central: It is a UK based scientific publisher of peer-reviewed open access journals which covers all areas of biology, medicine and health, including broad interest titles such as BMC Biology and BMC Medicine alongside specialist journals, such as Malaria Journal and BMC Infectious Diseases. BioMed Central and its sister companies Chemistry Central and PhysMath Central publish over 200 scientific journals.

bioRxivbioRxiv is a free online archive and distribution service for unpublished preprints in the life sciences.

Directory of Open Access Journals: DOAJ is a website that lists open access journals and is maintained by Infrastructure Services for Open Access (IS4OA). The project defines open access journals as scientific and scholarly journals that meet high quality standards by exercising peer review or editorial quality control. As of February 2016, the database contains records for 11,000 journals.  An average of four journals were being added each day in 2012.

Directory of Open Access Books: The primary aim of DOAB is to increase discoverability of Open Access books. The directory is open to all publishers who publish academic, peer reviewed books in Open Access and should contain as many books as possible, provided that these publications are in Open Access and meet academic standards. There are 4238 Academic peer-reviewed books from 137 publishers are available in this database.

Open Knowledge Repository (World Bank)The World Bank will be adopting an Open Access policy which went into effect July 1, 2012.  The OKR was created as a home for the Bank's research outputs.

PubMed Central (PMC) is a free digital repository that archives publicly accessible full-text scholarly articles that have been published within the biomedical and life sciences journal literature. As one of the major research databases within the suite of resources that have been developed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), PubMed Central is much more than just a document repository. PMC archive contained over 2500 Journals and 3 million articles, with contributions coming directly from publishers or authors depositing their own manuscripts into the repository per the NIH Public Access Policy.  PMC Journal list (CSV file).

RePEc (Research Papers in Economics)RePEc is a collaborative effort of hundreds of volunteers in 76 countries to enhance the dissemination of research in Economics and related sciences. The heart of the project is a decentralized bibliographic database of working papers, journal articles, books, books chapters and software components.
