Second Report of the Pakistan Public Service Commission for the Period 1st January to 31st December, 1949 .

Abstract

The Government of India Act, 1935, (as adapted) docs not' make it obligatory for the Pakistan Public Service" Commission to give an account of their work But the Commission desire to take the public into confidence and with the approval of ihe Gown* ment iiave decided to publish their annual reports. As far as the Commission's Annual Reports for the years 1949, 19S0 and 1051 concerned, these were prepared by the previous Commission but not published daring then-tenure. In January 1954, Government .decided th at these Reports shouii a ls o bs published with explanations of the Ministries/Divisions concerned, on the remarks nrssde by the Commission. The question of whether these Reports of the previous Commission .should or should not be published was further examined. In August, 1954, it v. as finally dfcWW that all the reports of the Commission except the First Report for the period from in 14th August 1947 to 31st December, 1948,4Shouftl be published. Accordingly, the Commission are now publishing these-Reports with explanations of the Ministry/Division concerned
